This book made so much more sense when I got to the end of it and realized why so many characters were omitted. All in all, I hate to say it, but I think this book was a cautionary tale of women in power (Cersei, Myrcella, Arienne, Asha, Lysa the list goes on). Clearly this setting is a man's world and there's not much room for women who want to seek power. Perhaps we'll see a change in this with Daenerys in this next book. But I'll be glad to hear from some of my other favorites, I got weary of so much Cersei, though I have to admit, Jaime has grown on me, especially there at the end.
