I quite liked this book now that I actually finished it. I almost skipped it because I'd seen the first movie already, but I'm glad I didn't. As always, there's a plethora of knowledge that isn't in the movie. I'd also like to point out that Luke is easily my favorite character and there's a good chance that that's skewed by my love of Jake Abel.
I can't help but to draw the comparisons between Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. I don't know, I know it's unfair to think that, but I guess there are always certain literary characteristics that crossover any boundaries. Onto book two!
